Maid goes mad and stabs baby!!!

SHANGHAI — A 20-month-old Shanghai girl was recovering Thursday after her family's maid, angry at her employers, put her on a chopping block and slashed her face with a kitchen knife, police said.

Police in the southern Shanghai district of Nanhui confirmed the attack, reported in the state-run newspaper Shanghai Daily. They refused further comment.

The baby's mother was also injured while trying to wrestle the knife away from the maid after she heard her daughter screaming late Tuesday night, the report said.

The newspaper carried a photo of the baby showing her with a long gash running across her chin from one jaw to the other. Doctors used 130 stitches to close her wounds, it said.

Police arrested Zhang Xuexia, 47, who was said to be angry because she believed the family was planning to fire her.

Many Shanghai families employ domestic helpers from the countryside, and relations can often be tense, especially around the time of the Lunar New Year, the country's biggest holiday.

The report said that Zhang, who like many maids in Shanghai was from nearby Anhui province, thought the family planned to send her back to her village because they bought her a ticket to go home for the holiday, which begins Jan. 25.

The family said they gave her the ticket to let her go back to see her family.

Through the Eyes of Fancy!!

Hi my names Fancy I was born April 17 and was the only girl out of 5. My brothers picked on me all the time and would never let me play with them. Then one day this girl and her mother came and looked at us. She seemed really nice, she always wanted to hold me. Her name was Whitney. That day was the greatest day ever because she took me home with her, it was a little hard to leave my brothers but not really. It was a long drive home so I just played with whitney, I was really starting to fall in love with her. Finally, we made it home and went to this big store and she had to hide me in her purse because I wasn't supposed to be in there. She bought me all kinds of different things like food, a bed, clothes,and toys. I felt like I was having a dream but it was only better than chasing rabbits. Then we finally made it to her house and I met all of her family and it was pretty tiring because they would not put me down, but whitney saved me. I loved my new home except the cat Cowboy, he was rude and always tried clawing me. But eventually he treated me good and I live happily ever after with whitney and her family. :)

Room 101

My room 101 would be little and filled with rats, snakes, and spiders. Eww just thinking about it freaks me out!! I think that would be the scariest feeling ever to be locked up with those nasty things. :/

The Best Christmas Ever!!!

In Aldrige, England there lived a girl named Maggie Brannigan in the Apple Tree Orphanage. The orphanage was horrible, the owner of Apple Tree Orphanage was Walter Green. He was a mean old man who didn't care about any of the kids just as long as he was paid. Her parents left her in a basket on the front porch of the orphanage when she was a newborn. Now she is five and she wonders everyday when her parents are going to come get her. There are about 27 girls in her room and they are rude to her and make fun of her all the time. She lies in bed every night and just wonders what her parents look like or their personalities. Every thursday different couples came and looked at all the kids and no one ever chose her because she would hide because she just knew her parents would come and rescue her. But one day she realized their not going to come and she just gave up. Christmas was coming close and her big christmas wish was just to have parents who love her. She went on day by day just playing by herself and excited about Christmas. On the thursday before Christmas their was this couple who were as sweet as could be and they just walked over to her and talked to her. She fell in love instantly, the lady was beautiful just what she pictured her mother like. They asked her if she would like to come home with them and she just lit up like a lightbulb. Of course she said yes and she packed her bags and told everyone goodbye. When she walked into their home she just started crying because she never thought this day would come. They had her bedroom ready for her, it was decorated in pink and had so many babydolls. A lot better than the orphanage!! The next day was Christmas and she was ecstatic, her new parents tucked her into bed and told her how much they loved her and were happy to have her. She jumped out of bed that morning and ran into the living room and there were her presents from Santa. That day was the best day of her life and the best Christmas ever!!! THE END!!
